First we drew pictures on a piece of cardstock, then we traced that picture with glue (that was dyed black). After the glue dried, we painted our pictures.

I had showed him this example of a stained glass Darth Vader that was done from a drawing by a 6-year old.

Beautiful! And yes, even today in Europe new cathedrals take almost as long! LOL....In Romania they are still building an Orthodox Church that was half done when I was there in 2003/4! So much detail!
