For our history this week, it was suggested that we make a sundial. We saw this sundial last week at the zoo so I told the kids that we would be making one this week. 
I found this template for making one instead of following the directions in the book Days of Knights & Damsels.
I had Cameron decorate the gnomon.
Then Luke wrote the numbers in Roman numerals.

Trying it outside...I kinda just guessed which way was north...and it was around 5:00 pm when I took the picture
