Flag Football Game #3

Last Saturday, Craig & I had a training at church so we had to rely on family members to take Luke & Cameron to their games. Of course, they were at different locations again back to back. Aunt Sara took Cameron to his game and took these pictures. Their team lost again, but Cameron was the quarterback for the touchdown and extra point they scored. He handed the ball off for the touchdown and threw the ball for the 2 point conversion.

Meadowview Stables Fieldtrip

On Friday, we took a fieldtrip to Meadowview Stables. These stables are located right behind my house. The owner of the stables, Mrs. Sam, goes to church with us and is Miriam's Sunday School teacher. The children got to ride the horses around the arena twice. Then we moved to one of the stable areas and learn about grooming and the anatomy of a horse. They got to brush the horse with the different brushes, finger paint on the horse after they learned the anatomy, and feed the horse carrots.

It's Finished!

The house addition is pretty much finished except for some odds and ends. You can look at the progression of it on the Lindsay Home Addition blog.

Flag Football Game #2

I'm just now getting around to posting the pictures from Cameron's flag football game from last Saturday. Luke & Cameron's games were at the same time but at different YMCA locations. So I took Cameron and Craig took Luke. Cameron got a flag at the game, but I didn't get a picture of that. He also played quarterback for one play.

Laura's Baton Rouge Shower

Saturday afternoon the Parkview choir ladies gave Laura a baby shower. This will be the last time they come to Baton Rouge before the baby is born.

Flag Football Game 1

It’s that time of year again.  This year Luke & Cameron are on different teams so that means 2 games each Saturday.  This week Cameron’s game was at 9:00 and Luke’s was at 11:00.  It’s so hot here…the heat index that day was 105.  With that being said, I was too hot to get up and take pictures.  I took all of Cameron’s from my chair sitting in the shade.  Craig took the pictures during Luke’s game.  Just like last year, Cameron ran faster coming off the field than on the field.  Luke made a couple of good plays in his game that I missed, because I was taking Levi to the bathroom.  So he didn’t get upset like he did last year.

Beach Vacation Day 5

Sunday morning, we hung out and watched the 1st movie of the Lord of the Rings. Then we went to the pool for a little while before nap time. Photobucket
After Daddy, Luke & Uncle Chris got back from Atlanta, we went back to the beach for our final time.
Photobucket
For dinner, we went to the Beach Club Restaurant in Fort Morgan.  Cameron said “If we keep coming to the beach, we have to keep coming here to eat!”  The waiter heard him and went and told the chef about Cameron’s compliment.  The chef brought free popsicles for all the kids!  This restaurant was one of the places that we ate when Craig & I were single and went on a beach trip with our Sunday School class.  This was right before we started dating.  The story is that  while we were waiting for a table, he made a seat for himself next to me on the couch even though there was no room next to me, but there was an empty space somewhere else on the couch!  He said something like “Let me squeeze in here!”  Now 10 years later…here we are!Photobucket

Beach Vacation Day 4

Saturday morning we hung out, ate a big breakfast, and said good-bye to Daddy, Luke, & Uncle Chris who headed to Atlanta for the LSU vs. UNC game. Then we went to the pool for a little while before lunch.

After lunch and naps, we went to the beach. Cameron went with PawPaw while he played golf.

And of course, we watched the LSU game that night.

Beach Vacation Day 3

On Friday morning, we went to the big community pool to play before lunch. Photobucket
After lunch and naps, we headed to the beach once Uncle Chris got there.
Photobucket
That night we celebrated with tacos for supper and cupcakes and ice cream for dessert. ZeeZee's birthday was on August 29th and Cameron’s & Uncle Chris' were on September 1st.

Beach Vacation Day 2

We went to the beach mid morning and set up our tent and stuff. While the kids were napping that afternoon, my dad, Craig & I went walking around the neighborhood so I could take pictures for my 365 project. We played lots of games while we were hanging out in the beach house.

Beach Vacation Day 1

Last Wednesday we headed to the beach for our annual family vacation. This year we stayed at a different beach house, Alcedonia at Kiva Dunes, since not as many family members were joining us. The first day consisted of unpacking, getting groceries, and eating a picnic supper on the beach at sunset. The girls enjoyed taking a bubble bath in the big tub.

Not so Wordless Wednesday - Cameron's Birthday Note

Cameron got this note from the 7 year old girl down the street. He's always been a ladies man. Can't even imagine the teenage years! Photobucket
I think Craig was a little jealous. He said he never received a note like that until he was 29!

Happy 6th Birthday C-Bob!

I can’t believe you’re already 6 and in the 1st grade!
