LIGO Fieldtrip

On Tuesday, May 22nd we had a fieldtrip with Bayou Cajun Homeschoolers to LIGO which stands for LASER INTERFEROMETER GRAVITATIONAL-WAVE OBSERVATORY. They had lots of hands-on science activities for the kids. After lunch, there was a tour of the actual observatory, but I didn't go on that part because I stayed with the younger kids. Photobucket

Hinged mirror reflections - the angle of the mirror determines the number of reflections that you see - the bigger the angle, the less reflections; the smaller the angle, the more reflections

2012 ISO Baseball Games #8

Levi's last baseball game was Monday night, May 21st. He did a good job hitting the ball and actually fielded one. He usually just stands in one place and doesn't move until it's time to bat.
