Melody’s Sip & See Brunch

On Saturday, March 17th my Sunday school class hosted a "Sip & See" Brunch for Melody. Thanks Mrs. Harvine, Genedi, Kyla, and Marcia! Thanks Amy for taking the pictures since I forgot my camera.

Some of the decorations - a picture of Melody, some pearls, a tea cup, a picture of Craig's MawMaw Pearl. Mrs. Harvine gave me the frames and the tea cup to keep. (She also gave me some tea cups for Miriam & Micah too.)

These little "cupcakes" are made from baby socks - which she also gave me to keep.

End of the Season Upward Celebration 2012

Back on Friday, March 16th, we attended the End of the Season Celebration for Upward Basketball at Woodlawn Baptist. This is a time when they recognize all the people that made the season possible, hand out awards, and have entertainment. Craig had my camera to take pictures since I would have to nurse Melody. Here's some of the pictures that he took.

Baton Rouge Zoo Fieldtrip

Last Thursday, we had a fieldtrip to the Baton Rouge Zoo with the Bayou Cajun Homeschoolers. Here is a picture of our group before starting. This was the first fieldtrip where we've had our t-shirts.

I took a picture of this egret because that’s the logo on our shirts.

This was the scheduled part of our fieldtrip to attend the Ed-Zoo-Cation Program “Web of Life.” The children were able to learn about 4 different animals (chinchilla, blue-tongued skink, screech owl, Madagascar cockroach) and pet them if they chose to.  (I was feeding Melody during this so some of the kids took these pictures).  After the talk, they were able to look at different skins and bones of animals.

After lunch, it was playtime!

Cole enjoying the slide…although it was a little hot.  That’s why he’s lifting his leg in the last picture.

We were glad that Aunt Sara, Aunt Laura & Elliott were able to join us for the fieldtrip to celebrate Luke's 9th birthday.
