2013 ISO Baseball–Game 1
I missed Levi's game because it was at the same time at Cameron's and I ended up helping in the dugout at Cameron's. Cameron's coaches were impressed by him. It was their first time coaching and many of the kids didn't know the rules of the game. However, Cameron had the advantage by playing up a league last year.
We were surprised when Luke was the starting pitcher for his team. Due to other commitments, he had only made one practice and had not practiced pitching at that one. But there was only one other kid who wanted to pitch and he wasn't feeling good at the beginning of the game. Luke was pretty accurate, but he just didn't throw them fast.
This is the first year he is playing real baseball where they are able to steal bases.

Family field trip to crawfish farm
On Friday, April 26th, our family along with the Shelbys, the Whiteheads and the Landrys, visited a crawfish owned by Chantelle’s uncle. He first explained how many acres he had and the differences between the male and female crawfish.
Then everyone got a turn to ride in the boat while the crawfish was being collected. The kids got to ride in the back of the truck as we rode around the lake to each side to pick up those that had just ridden. I think they enjoyed this just as much since most of them have never gotten to ride in the back of a truck.
The food that they put in the traps, and when they collect the crawfish they immediately go in the bags to sell.
He would pull up the trap, dump it onto the table, put a new piece of food in, push the trap back into the ground before he picked up the next one. He would also push the crawfish down into the bags, throw out any extra food, and throw out crawfish that were too small.
He steered the boat with his feet.
Chantelle's uncle showing Cameron how the crawfish crawl in and get trapped.
These were some blue crawfish that he caught that day which are rare but they didn't know how they become blue.
The ponds were surrounded by cattle fields.
After we finished touring the farm, we drove to Chantelle's parents' house for a crawfish boil on False River.
Time to eat!
Couple of pics I took on the way home going over the Old Bridge
