Christmas Breakfast Casserole

Even though I just won a giveaway at Ship Full O Pirates, I'm still entering again and posting this entry about Christmas dinner. Well, actually it's not about Christmas dinner since we don't have a tradition for that, but we DO have one for Christmas breakfast.

Here's the recipe that we use for Christmas Breakfast Casserole:

12 eggs
2 cups milk
6 slices bread, cubed
1 cup American cheese, cubed
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 1/2 lbs ham
Dash of pepper
Dash worcestershire

Mix together and place in casserole dish. Leave in refrigerator overnight. Place in cold oven, set oven at 350 and bake for 1 hour covered, or until done.

(Note from the originator of this recipe: This has become our yearly Christmas breakfast, as it is easy to take from the refrigerator and start baking while the gifts are being opened!) This is what we used to do when I was a kid. But now I make my own kids wait to eat breakfast, then read the Christmas story before we open the gifts.
